Student Investigator at the University of New Mexico, Health Science Center

- Collected micro costing, attendance, and absenteeism data to analyze and co-author the cost-effectiveness portion of the National Institutes of Health funded grant titled: Keeping rural minority ‘essential’ workplaces open safely during the COIVID-19 pandemic: The role of frequent point-of-care molecular workplace surveillance for miners. The findings of the study, as well as its cost-effectiveness, will be published later this year.
- Developed dissemination resources for participants in the above referenced research project, to communicate changes in research procedure, the benefits of participation in the study, and the study’s interim results; producing two videos at the beginning of this year to communicate with participants the study’s goal and procedural aims, producing two informational videos to demonstrate to over two hundred participants in sites located in New Mexico and Wyoming how to appropriately, and effectively, administer a serology based SARS-COV-2 nasal mucus test, and developing three series of educational flyers, posters, and infographics to continue communication with participants the changes in the study procedure and various benefits they could leverage with their participation.
- Developed a website, using Cascade CMS, UNM’s website content management program, for an NIH funded grant titled: Faulty Mentoring Program Development/Research, which supports the education of hundreds of faculty mentors and mentees and provides access to program resources, mentoring best-practices, and educational modules, the core structure, and modality of both the educational program and research project.
Project Coordinator at the New Mexico Telehealth Alliance

- Designed, developed, and currently administer NMTHA’s present website aimed to provide resources like webinars, educational videos, and toolkits to telehealth providers and patients across New Mexico. Visit the site at nmtelehealth.org. In addition to the website, I have created and help maintain a Twitter and LinkedIn account.
- Filmed, produced, and edited informational videos with telehealth experts across New Mexico, discussing issues related to broadband, provider-telehealth engagement, patient-telehealth engagement, COVID-19’s impact on telehealth, telehealth funding and structure in organizations like the University of New Mexico, and how telehealth is evolving in the state. Four telehealth deep dive videos were developed in early September 2021 and will be distributed on newly created social media accounts and the NMTHA website.
- Researched and collated telehealth best practices to build, expand, and maintain the NMTHA toolkit, a multi-category resource currently accessible to all site visitors, primarily aimed for telehealth providers and patients interested in topics like data collection, clinical specialties, rural health and telehealth, provider self-care, the future of telehealth, client engagement, and more.
Communications Chair at the New Mexico Healthcare Executives

- Coordinated the redesign of NMHE’s website and online presence and currently maintain the organization’s online content and communications. Visit the site at: nmhe.org. After the redesign of the website and the revitalization of social media accounts for NMHE, the number of unique visitors to the site rose 54 percent year/year, with an average of 3.4 thousand unique visitors a year since September 2019.
- Designed, developed, and catalogued the Cultural Competence Repository, a collection of general health and clinical care resources focused on developing the best diversity and inclusion practices in healthcare. The Repository is currently the most visited resource on NMHE’s site, averaging about 200 unique visitors this past year alone.
- Presented at board meetings to update and report the status and progress of the communications committee, and its efforts to maintain chapter communications and engage members with resources, tools, and coordinating events like networking dinners, webinars, and panel series.
